TriCare Express-Scripts Home Delivery

Thinking this might be the way to go because we always end up in a hassle transferring scripts from a MTF, to CVS, etc. I called them about the ability to change the "ship to" address and got a lot of heavy breathing. The eventual answer was, call us when that happens. Not very comforting.

For instance, we will soon be in Key West until after Easter. During that period we will need to use a Key West ship-to address for the refills (I know it has to be USPS and a PO box has to be a USPS box). 90 days later, the next round of refills would come to our house.

Anyone do this? Hints? Thanks in advance, Steve

We use Express Scripts. However, we just have the meds sent to our mail forwarding address (home) and forwarded to wherever we want. We haven't changed our mailing address with Express Scripts. I'm sure changing your address once or twice a year isn't a problem. They probably don't want us changing it every two weeks. :side:

We sure like using them, though!

Thanks Larry.

An update. Coincidentally, my pharmacy called a min ago and said Tri-Care won;t fill your meds because they say you have other insurance. Huh? Ahhh, when I registered on their website I clicked that I had other coverage because I was thinking Medicare! Once you do it on the site, you can't correct it on the site. I called and this time, the luck of the draw paid off and I got a rep that knew what he was talking about.
--he fixed the other coverage thing.
--re the diff ship to, he said: " Sure! That's easy! Just call us and tell us the period of time you want to use that temp address and we'll take care of it!"

So, it seems it is easy.

Here is some info from the the TRICARE Mail Order website. When we're on the road we use the "rush" feature for an extra $21 and have it shipped to the temporary address feature. Here is some of the FAQ:
Can I request rush shipping for my prescription order?
Yes. You will be charged $21 per order for any type of rush shipping and each family member's medications are shipped as separate orders. Therefore, if you order medications for three different family members and request rush shipping for all of those medications, your shipping costs would total $63 ($21 X 3 orders). Please note that rush shipping is not available for APO/FPO addresses.

What do I do if I have more than one address?
To add a temporary address with a start and end date or to change an address, sign in to your online account and update your information or call 877-363-1303.

We have called Express Script on renewals when we are on the road and have them ship by regular mail to the campground we know that we will be at. We then call the campground and let them know what to expect and it is there when we arrive. We have never had a problem.

Thanks! I had seen the rush feature on the site but missed the more than one address. Appreciate your pointing that out. That way when I get the rep that says it can't be done, I can point to their own web!
