now is when I need it. Later it will only go to further enrich the old folks home the kids pour me into because someone took away my driver's license.

So let me get this straight. I will have my military retirement, Social Security and (because I work for the state of Texas) my Texas Teachers Retirement System check? Whooooooo Hooooooo.

Yer right. I get a retirement check from from my years as an employee of the state of Oklahoma. I also get a retirement check from the Navy due to 27 years active/reserve time which started at age 60, right after I retired from my state job. In a little over a year (at age 62) I'll start receiving a SS check. My wife, who is already past 62, receives a SS check and her retirement from Oklahoma, since she was also a state employee. Right now, even before I'm eligible for SS, we have more income than when we were both working.
