Found an alternative to Kings Bay if you are travelling I95. Just a couple hundred yards east of Exit 49 is Inland Harbor RV Park. Clean, inexpensive and nice pull-throughs. At $30 it is a deal for everything including cable and avoids that long drive back to Eagle Hammock at Kings Bay.
Thanks so much for the tip on this campground. Looked at Trailer Life and it is rated for big rigs so will take your advice and try it next time we go up I95. We prefer parks closer to the Interstate too when we are doing a one night stay and fell into the habit of going to Eagle Hammock even though it is quite a ways off the interstate.
We love the Darien, GA area...also there is McIntosh County Campground/RV Park at the exit where GA 57 crosses I-95....rustic with a pond and full hookups.....
