Vehicle Storage

its not a campground question but don't see where it might fit better.

Does anyone have first hand experience w/ storing a vehicle in Phoenix? I need to lv my truck in Phoenix while we fly back to AK for Christmas 2018. We'll be coming and going from Ft Huachuca down in Sierra Vista. There are lots of places but I wondered if any US Mil Campgrd folks had really used one themselves. The reviews on some place s are not to be trusted. thnx.

The fort has or had an rv/vehicle storage lot I used to keep my slide in camper there. DMAFB also has a rv/vehicle storage lot. Both are open air but the vehicle will be in a fairly secure location not some empty lot in town.

Take one of the commercial shuttles up to east la for the flight from either location and make return trip provisions. Wife has flown out of east la several times using the shuttles to get to and from tucson. alternative would be a rent a car to and fro.

We use the Casa Grande RV Resort. They offer storage for $2 a day. Usually, we stay in the RV park a day or so then put the rig in storage.

thnx for the tips.I tried Luke & DM, bnoth vehicle storage lots are FULL-waiting list. I'm looking up CAsa Grande RV right now. Could lv the truck at Ft. H, but how to get to Phx Airport ? Storing it up in Phx would be easier I think.

summers – Assuming you will fly out of Sky Harbor, there are several off-airport parking options, all of which offer shuttle service to/from the airport. Last fall, we needed to travel for a family situation and used The Parking Spot. They offer both covered and uncovered parking, and will even wash your vehicle at your request. It was $8/day which I realize is a bit more than the $2,00 or so you might be looking for. I don’t know if they offer a long-term rate; you might want to call them. There are a number of other off-site parking options in the area, both uncovered (cheapest) and covered. Do a search on Google to see what you can find.
