I read through all the forums and saw the "smart" program. I ran into someone at Patrick that was really pushing it to everyone. Everyone that was 70+ that is...looked into it and it wasn't for us. But, being fairly new to RVing at that time, I got lots of info in the mail. I finally got into something that I now find to be a real smart choice. Here it is: The Caverns... There are lots of 'membership' campgrounds and they charge lots to join and lots yearly...the Caverns gives you a couple choices, no yearly fees and the ability to travel all over the US at $8 to 1/2 price ($15 max usually). I have a lifetime membership at $995 and have never had to pay anything extra - I stay at great parks for about $56 a week. Don't know if you are interested, but if you are let me know...I don't get anything for letting you know...just found it to be a good deal for my traveling and when no MCG are available. This place is near Fort Hauchuca, Bisbee, Nogales, Katchner Caverns, etc.
