Spent the past weekend here. The park is located a few miles outside of Boone North Carolina and a good jumping off location to tour the NC Highlands. Grandfather Mountain is awsome, especially the mile high swinging bridge. Having said all that, the campground is in need of some TLC, especially the interier roads. Trees could use some trimming also. there were plenty of big rigs there. I would recommend using sites one thru five on rows D thru H. The slope drops off steaper from there. I stayed in site H6 but when I left I was fortunate enough to be able to back into the site behind me and then pull out. The interior road in front of my site had a good sized rut and I was concerned that I might drag my under carraige.
