Hello Retired Military Services Members and current Recreators and RV'ers.
I am a former civilian MWR/Services Recreation Specialist, currently working for the Forest Service at the Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument Head Quarters in Amboy WA. I am the Visitor Services and Information Specialist.
I am using this forum to reach out to you in the retired community that is looking for a unique and fun opportunity this summer 2013. We want you to share your talents and communications skills talking with tourist and visitors from around the world about Mt. St. Helens Volcano and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
No special skills are required, other than an outgoing personality and a willingness to help visitors with directions and engage them with conversation.
In return we will provide a location TBD free of charge for you to place your RV. We have very remote sites with views of the Crater and limited services to sites with full hook ups, available to volunteers and employees only.
There are no sales or additional duties required based on the location you choose to reside in, except you may be asked to patrol the parking lot to provide visibility only as a deterrent for car break-ins.
Any additional duties you wish to support will be greatly appreciated.
This is a non-paid, volunteer opportunity. The Forest Service will not pay for any travel expenses or incidentals in exchange for your services.
We will offer a 1 week orientation and site visit program to make you familiar with the Monument attractions and other Forest Sites.
Time Frame is Mid June to Sept. 6th 2013
