I know that some small Walmarts won't let you park for the night there. Is there any Walmart directories available?

I would guess not - I think most of those are local decisions based on local considerations. Probably many are brought on by specific bad experiences.

Our local Walmart always allowed it and then one day there was a No Overnight Parking sign.

There is a Yahoo Group that maintains a list of WalMarts that allow overnight parking. WalMarts

There is a iPhone app, Allstays, Truck Stops & Travel Plazas that list wall mart stores that you can park at. Cost is $9.99.

Allstays is great app - even for smart phone. They also show other parks info.
