Congrats! I'm sure you'll enjoy life on the road. Don't worry about seasonal jobs - there's plenty out there!

rvdreamers,
Here's a newbie pep talk....from a newbie.
My husband and I (both Navy retired) have been full-timing for 10 weeks now. (YAY! It's begun!!!)
The dream started 3 yrs ago, and we too had a few things accelerate our plans to hit the road. It's been crazy for the past 4 months.
Last summer we befriended a couple who had just gotten off the road after 12 yrs of full-timing. They've adopted us and have been a wealth of knowledge, as well as forums like this one. If nothing else, I've learned we're not alone and we don't have to reinvent the wheel.
Fingers crossed, our house is under contract and should close July 12th.
We expect to hit the road end of the year...not sure where and what all we'll be doing and working, but we're doing it!
We're in the Pensacola area.
Lisa
PS Disposal of all our 'stuff' was easier than we thought. What our sons didn't take and what didn't go to the dump....
1) auctioned off, which meant we didn't have to deal with people at a yard sale or with craigslist!
or 2) we found a boy scout unit that does an annual yard sale with their church and they hauled off the stuff that wasn't good enough to auction. Good luck! I'm so glad to be rid of the 'stuff'!

Thanks for the pep talk, Lisa! Hope your house closes without a hitch. We are planning to list our house in a month or so, once we get it ready. Having our first yard sale this weekend. What are your travel plans for 2014?
