What- 3 weeks of RV and Tent Self Contained "Dry Camping", never allowed before at Willow Grove Park and baot launch. Launch your boat in minutes and be on the river. Have your buddy drag your boat and you bring the RV and relax and enjoy a fishing vacation of a life time.
Mobile Septic, Propane and other limited services, programs and vendors will be on hand to let you concentrate on a Projected Record Run of Fall Salmon.
When- Aug. 15 to Sept. 1st
Where- Willow Grove County Park and Boat Launch in Longview, 12 miles W. of I-5, Exit #36.
Why?- If you love to fish and have never fished for King (Chinook Salmon)and Silver(Coho Salmon)then this is the time. Last Yr. saw a record return of salmon into the Columbia River Basin and this is year is projected to surpass it.
Bring your Wife, Kids or Grand Kids for this once in a lifetime fishing and outdoor Quality of Life opportunity. Teach you kids what your Father taught you. That life isn't found in a video game or cell phone, but in the simpler joys of fishing and being outdoors.
If you don't own a boat, no problem, Willow Grove has almost a mile of beach for "Plunking" for these amazing fish. Guide Services will also be available with Reservations.
Rates. All Military and First Responders will receive each night of camping at 50% off. $15.00 per night for RV;s and $10.00 for Tent sites.
If you are interested in free camping, we are looking for 4 volunteer camp host to provide minimal mgt. support during the Afternoon and Evenings only, so you can enjoy a hard day of fishing. We would ask you to socialize with other fishermen and provide a visible presence for safety and security. This is a family oriented event with special events. A Clean and Safe environment will be offered.
I am a Former civilian MWR Recreation Specialist for all branches of the military. I was a BRAC and RIF casualty, but still proudly support the military. Bring your DD214 or retired ID for proof of service.
