Just wondering what you all have for health insurance. Since we are fulltiming, we switched from Prime to Standard but are not very happy. It's costing us a lot more. Do those of you who have Standard also have a supplement that you can recommend? If we re-enrolled in Prime and came home once a year for all our appointments, might that work better? Any advice? Thanks!
when I retired we went with standard based on discussion with the tricare lady on post. Prime is an HMO and almost everything requires pre approval particularly if out of the area. So we as I said went to standard and I had a supplement from an outfit that wrote coast gaurd supplements. Cost about 160 a year as I recall just for me. now under mediscare and tfl is my 2dary.
Check in at the nearest tricare office on post and see what they say. Actually never paid anything for using standard, well maybe once or twice but that was it.
