Based on a suggestion from a website user, I've created a new website for RV'ing members of the
Benevolant and Protective Order of Elks and the
Loyal Order of Moose. As an Elk or Moose member, you may be aware that many lodges allow overnight RV Parking at their lodge. Many of these lodges have electric hookups and some will also have water and sewer connections. These RV Parking locations are usually very reasonable or ask for a donation.
When we're traveling, we look for Elks Lodges (I'm not a Moose member) to stay at if there's no military campground along our route. Some of these RV Parking locations have been good, some less desirable. But I didn't know until we arrived. In addition, finding these locations and current information is difficult. Like military campgrounds, I don't want to buy an outdated book every year.
This new website is structured very similiar to this one. There'll be maps, satellite photos, information, rates, ratings, and reviews of the Lodge RV Parking locations. We're starting off with Elks and Moose lodges, but others (VFW, Eagles, or ?) may be added later. As of today, the website is operational and ready for information to be loaded.
I'll be adding Lodge RV Parking information during the next few weeks. However, registered members of the new website ALSO have the ability to create new Elks and Moose location listings. Hopefully, users will help enter this information and we'll be finished soon. Then it's a matter of perfecting the information.
