I would like hear opinions on Quartsite this season. We sarted going to Quartsite 23 years ago, stayed all winter for 18 years. This year we spent 6 weeks there, and was very dissapointed guess I wasn't ready for the changes I seen. Next year we are going to Yuma, maybe Quarsite for a week during the big shows. What is your opinion on this.

We're usually in Quartzsite only for January. For the past couple of years, we thought there's been less RV's showing up, and more RV dealers. This year was about the same. But we don't go for the dealers or flea markets. We go to be out in the desert (free).

Our usual routine is to be near Yuma for a few weeks, then Quartzsite for a few weeks. We'll then sometimes move to Lake Havasu for the annual fireworks convention, then back down to Parker for the off road race. We move about every 2-3 weeks. This year was different. Next year, we may do Quartzsite, but visit Texas or ???

I agree with the comments about Quartsite. It seems to be a let down from yrs past before the rv dealers came in and pushed the vendors out. We arrived a few days before the tent show and there were alot fewer rvers than yrs past. I guess things change and life goes on.

We have been going about 3 years, the large tent area seemed about the same, wall to wall people on Saturday. Was disappointed with the RV show, seemed like more used coaches than new. It did seem a little less crowded on the streets this year than it had been in the past.

The wife and I were in Quartzsite for the first time this year and doubt we will go back. We had heard so much hype that we thought it was worth going to, we were sadly disappointed. Guess it would be fun for a visit from time to time but not for much more than that. Talk to some locals including a local law enforcement officer who all said they felt there were more people there this year than in years past. Also we could only find two rv dealers at the show area selling rvs and the prices were a lot higher than I have found when at dealers getting repairs and inquired. I think I would go to a dealer some where rather than at quartzsite area. By the way we were told that we could just about get any deal we wanted on a new rv. "WRONG" We tried haggling and when it all boiled down they wanted a heck of a lot more to buy an rv than we have run into from dealer show rooms. Best they would do was to increase our present payments by 1500 a month or pay 15000 down and double our present payments. So much for a buyers market in that area.
