My wife is of Clan Grant and we have both served in our country's military. We are members of the Scottish-American Military Society (SAMS) and the national leaders have asked us if we would consider forming a nation-wide, at-large Post.

That would depend on the interest.

If you have had military service in either the U. S. or Canadian forces and you, or your spouse is of Scottish ancestry we would like to hear from you. Respond here or to [email protected].

SAMS participates in a wide range of public events, often as color guards at Highland Games and similar events. We wear a uniform that consists of the appropriate military shirt with ribbons, badges and SAMS patches (NO RANK) along with your clan kilt or your service kilt. Every military service now has its own approved tartan.

"For Freedom, for this alone."

Hi Glenn,

My father was from the MacRoberts clan and my mother was from the MacWhitten clan. I served in Navy Attack Squadron 46 in the USS America (Pix).
