Dependent ID?? was created by monkey44
I heard somewhere that dependent ID does not expire after the dependent reaches age 57 ... and that the dependent does not need to renew ID card after that age.

Does anyone know that for sure?? And what happens to the ID card that shows an expire date once that date passes??

If you are talking about your spouse, their card has to be re-newed until age 65. My wife just re-newed hers for that.

I just checked my wife's card and it is renewable every 4 years. We have to do it again in 2011 and she is past 70. Did hear that after 75 it will be a one time issue. I don't have anything in writing on that.

Just called the ID people - and age 75 means last time issue. Looks like what I read had the 5 and 7 reversed. But this info is from the security and ID folks - age 75. So we will have to renew soon.

Unless they have changed the cards there should be an expiration date in the top right corner of the card so it gives you the exact date the card should be renewed by.
