Flexsteel Couch from My 2006 Fleetwood Bounder 35E was created by cheldreth
My wife and I have decided to remove our couch in favor of another recliner. Since we are full-timing we both want the recliner and only one of us will fit at a time.
It is a Flexsteel sofa bed and is 69" wide and the bed is 71" long when extended. It is the typical RV putty color and in good condition. I will try to put some pics out for it.
I have two questions:
1-How difficult is it to get these things out?
2-Is anyone interested in it?
We are at the Onslow Beach Recreation Center at Camp Lejeune if you are wondering where we are at. We are here as camp hosts.
Thanks in advance,
Curt

We took our 81" Flexsteel couch out through the window right behind the couch as it is an exit window so it opens very wide. After removing all the hardware attaching it to the floor we used two posts to keep the window open. From the o/s we put them on the ground and placed under the window to keep it open during the removal. You will be surprised to find the couch is not as heavy as you might think. My wife and I removed it easily. We placed blankets on the ground o/s and along the window ledge to avoid rips and tears. After we had it turned sideways to go out the window and lifted it up on the ledge my wife went o/s and held onto it as it slid to the ground. Good luck and hope you find a buyer, we put ours in our house since we had a spot for it.

I am hopeful that it will come apart enough to not have to use the window to get it out. I had to take my old tv out the door and I only had about 1" clearance. I was really sweating that one.
Thanks,
Curt

We didn't have a couch, this time, to remove but took the Flexsteel recliner out and replaced it with a Euro Chair and Ottoman. This swivel, rocker, recliner was heavy. It is sitting in my garage waiting for me to call the Goodwill to come get it.
On a previous coach we took out the couch and put in a new one. (We bought that coach used and the couch was worn out.) On ours the ends/arm rest came off making it easier to get out. If you have a gas rig with a center door (like our old used coach did) it will probably be easier to get out the door. Our current coach is a DP with the front entry door. Not sure I would have room to turn a couch to get it out the door, especially one with a hide-a-bed in it. Probably would have to remove the front co-pilot seat to do that.

I am looking for a swivel, rocker, recliner. Where is it at? Anywhere near VA?
