I asked this on the general board but got only 1 incomplete response. I pull a TT and have a long bed PU. I need to know if anyone can ask around and let me know the particulars of the state you are in if 4 wheel ATVs licensed in another state can be legally ridden in that state.
I asked DMV and they didnt answer except to contact the state I wanted to go to. Well we plan for this summer to go to Glacier and then over to the cascades.
In AZ we can register and ride on streets (not highways) ATVs with mirrors and lights (brake in particular). I ride Motorcycles but they are just too big to try and load so I am thinking that maybe an ATV setup for 2 would be easier.
So if you are inclined to do so could you check the states you are in and let me know? It will be appreciated.
BTW Polaris makes one specifically for 2 up riding but they are $$$. So this is not an uncommon vehicle, just many dont ride on roads.

Check item #4 and #6 on the above link (Washington RCW)
Chapter 46.09 RCW
Off-road and nonhighway vehicles
You will probably have to check with the local jurisdiction
where you are visiting for road/street use.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, looks like you can in wash if licensed and reciprocity exists between the states.
Basically this deals with off highway permits, but does have the license plate exemption so Who knows for sure.
Thank you again. Hank
