My 2011 Hyundai Veracruz with less then 6,000 miles on the odometer lost its engine on I77 in WV yesterday stranding my wife and daughter. Who where on their way to Savannha Ga so daughter could start Jr year at SCAD. Internal failure of the engine, Hyundai only wants to pay for 3 days rental car and thats all. They will install a Rebuilt engine not a factor fresh engine will not reimburse for any expense including the tow to get the thing off the road and to one of their dealers or for us to return to WV, from Ohio close to 400 mile trip one way, to pick the thing back up after repairs that will take 14 to 15 days. Yep they make a lot of promises, Military discounts, and all but when TSHTF they run. Don't buy HYUNDAI. Less then ,6000 miles ought to give me a new car but that is just dreams...

Have a 2008 Santa Fe with about 22,000 miles on it. Have only had a couple of problems with it. Had it towed twice and HYUNDAI paid with no problems. One tow was in the noth Ga. mountains and the nearest dealer was in Tenn.
Sorry for your problems. They should put in a brand new motor. Get on the phone and get someone who will do the right thing.
Good Luck

Well today TUES> they are doing the right thing. I FEEL! I get a 0 miles engine, yep brand new, and paid for rental car till mine is fixed plus all tows and tolls.
I don't feel I can ask for more, I have to pay for 1 night in a motel,( day it broke down) and cost of pick up when its fixed..
