Cell Phone Coverage

My wife and I will start full timing in the spring or early summer. Right now, we use a Wilson dual band antenna with our cell phone while traveling. Very rarely do we have a call dropped. One of the things on the market that really does a good job.

Now, we are considering getting a signal amplifier/repeater to use in our motorhome. Anyone have any experience with them?

We just use the Wilson antenna also, and it does well. Sorry, I don't even know anyone who uses an amplifier.

What service do you use? We have Cingular and have had no problem with dropped calls here in the Northeast or in our travels to the Midwest with just the antenna. Just wondering about other parts of the country.

We use Verizon. Rarely have we been without coverage, and that's usually when we're in the middle of no-where.

We've had Sprint for a number of years and generally have not had a problem. Just bought a Wilson antenna off eBay and am anxious to give it a try.

I've seen the Wilson amplifier advertised and not sure how well it works.

We have Verizon and have concluded that the Corps of Engineers follows the Verizon guy around and when the response to his "Can you hear me now" is dead air, they build a CofE campground. We have NEVER been in a CoE campground with cell phone coverage.
