I have seen this decal on the website. It is awsome. I would love to be able to display this decal on my rig, however it would be inapropriate for me to do so. I am a DOD civilian and can not claim to have fought for this country. I do not even put myself in the same catagory as those who have. I know that a lot of trouble has been put into these stickers, I was just thinking it would be nice if we had some that said "We support our troops" or "We will never forget" etc. Just a thought to help make more money for the website(or whoever sells the stickers) as well as show our support and love for the troops. Again, excellant job on the sticker!!! Happy motoring, be safe :)

Stnb4ever,

Great idea - and I apologize for not thinking of our DOD counterparts. I'll work on getting another version (different wording) out soon.

The main goal of these decals is for us to identify each other in our travels. However, 50 cents of each decal comes back to support the website. I'm sure I'll find someone out there with the decal. I wonder who will be the first I find?

I am forced to disagree with you again--I can see NO reason why you should not display the decal on your rig. Despite my previous comments, I am fully aware that there are jobs that can not be done by military people and MUST be done by civilians. And there are jobs that can be done by both and are. DOD civilian employees are an important and integral part of the package that constitutes National Defense. So you are defending this nation as a DOD civilian just like any soldier, sailor, airman or Marine, and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

That said, I still like the idea of creating a number of different phrases using the same general design--they would still identify us a participants on this website but give us options on what words to use. And, it might mean more money for Larry and that is a VERY good thing.

Glenn,
Thanks for you reply. I do indeed want to display the decal on my rig, however I was at first concerned with how this may look. Having had the response from you that I have had, I think that I will order several of these decals to disply with pride. Thanks again for you response. However if any more phrases do eventually become available for the decals, I would still be interested in them as well.

When I told my boss (my wife - Connie) about this topic of creating a new MilCamps decal, she stated she didn't see anything wrong with our DOD counterparts displaying the decal. They also served to protect our country in their own capacity. I agree with her.

Now.... any suggestions for additional phrases?

larry,
Guess that was all my fault. As you know I have a problem with retired DOD civilians taking up campground spaces that were intended for active duty and retired military folks. Stnb4ever interpreted that to mean that I didn't think DOD employees were part of the mission force. I hope I have corrected that interpretation. At one point in my life I was suave and debonair, as I age I become crustier.
But as I said before, it probably wouldn't hurt to have some more phrases.
