RV Technical & roadside assistance was created by subldo
I have a membership with Coach-Net which is about to expire. I have never had the need to use the service in the past 5 years. I was wondering if anyone has a contract with them, can share their opinion or can lead me to others that I may want to compare prices. What about the Good Sam Roadside assistance plan?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
SUBLDO

Never has coach-net, but I would hiley recommend Good Sam, when I first started I had AAA until I was left setting on the side of the road for 5 houes the lady called back and informed me that there was nothing thay could do to help me. Within 30 min I had called a local tire dealer, and was back on the road in less than a hour. I would not reccomend AAA to any one, even for their personal car.

I've had Coach-Net for over 8 years. Had to be towed twice, and blow-out tires replaced 3 times. I HIGHLY recommend them! Great, quick service.
I'm not a fan of Good-Sam. Mainly, because of all the unwanted junk mail they send out. They took over Camping World memberships, which I did have. Now I'm getting all of the unwanted junk mail again!

I belong to EXXON travel club, also the chevron club and have USAA with roadside assist. I spoke with exxon about rv's and they said they do cover all my vehicles, same with chevron. Have not had a need to use either but..... Anyhow main thing is the life insureance from each. less than $10 a month so thats why I keep. I asked also about MC coverage when we went to canada a few years ago and yes they said the roadside also worked for them, but again I have progressive coverage for the bike.
If you are talking about major repairs I dont know about any of them. We went to colo springs for fathers day, stopped in NM at a rest area and a guy with a big MH was there said he had been waiting since 1100 hrs for help, they finally sent a wreck to tow to Las Vegas I think. Anyhow the tow operator said he was not a repair guy, but got under the guys rig and found a broken transmission wire, fixed it and they were good to go. The repair service I guess never did show!

I've been a Coach-Net member for several years and have nothing but positive experiences. When I needed a repair facility, they made the phone calls and found someone who could work me in.

I hate to be the spoiler here but I had Coach Net when I first bought my MH. They were great when my rig was under warranty but when that expired, the service was miserable.
If one has their insurance with USAA, they offer roadside assistance coverage for an exceedingly cheap few bucks a year. I've used it a couple times and have gotten excellent service. Since the rig isn't under warranty, it really is up to me where I want it fixed so all I need is towing or temporary repairs.
And if you are a dummy like me who once locked himself out of the rig, they even handle that.
