I have not used Wild Blue but I have Hughes Net through Maxwell Satellite that I access through a tripod setup from Maxwell. If I can answer any questions, please let me know.

Permit me to add to my original question. I've got the technical expertise for this issue to include mobile, portable, and permanent systems. I just needed to know if anyone can compare different satellite internet providers. Kinda like buying a computer. Which one has the best product, service, warranty, etc. etc??

M44> It is my understanding the WildBlue is only internet. I had a permanent Hughes Net set up about 5 years ago that did both internet and tv. TV reception was possible with an small antenna attachment to the parabolic dish which was called a Bird on a Wire. I assume that they still offer this package.
Here is a website that willl provide some comparison info between the two providers, but I'm still looking for someone who can give me a personal opinion on their use of Wildblue.
