New truck tires

Six new tires on the truck for the trip east - Goodyear Wranglers LT235-80R-17 load range E - $1162.00 out the door at MCAS Yuma. Diesel fuel approaching $4.00 a gallon, gonna be expensive moving RVs around the country.

I can remember when I would drive extra miles, and hit a rest area on the way somewhere just to save the cost of a stop-over campsite -- now, it's becoming less expensive to make an overnight in a campsite than drive the extra miles ...

Seems like we've always been just a few years shy of the "good timing" -- now that we're finally ready to full-time, it's getting too expensive to fill the tank. Guess I'll find a nice campsite once a month or so, and just hang out. Go back to a bicycle for seeing the sights ... hope my legs hold out : :

Dang you got off easy fast eagle. I bought tires for my rv in Missouri in Nov at 500 dollars a tire. So six for 1200 isnt bad. Its not getting any easier at all. Thank goodness for famcamps and workamping. Or I could not afford to full time.
