We have a Garmin Nuvi 750 and think it's GREAT! Comparing the 2 models, I see a few differences that were worth the extra $100+ for the 750, at least for me:
- Size - when driving and glancing at the screen, then making changes using the touchscreen, the larger size of the 750 is a BIG plus.
- FM Transmitter - I loaded my Nuvi with a 4GB SD card loaded with MP3 music. Instead of searching for radio stations or changing CD's, we now use the Nuvi MP3 player. Having the music (and navigation voice) come through our radio system sounds MUCH nicer than the internal GPS speaker. I didn't think this would be important when I bought the GPS, but it's turned out to be a great benefit.
- Where Am I - Although a minor feature, I've started using it more and more. Especially the ability to simply touch my location and find the nearest gas stations while on the highway.
While I like the above differences in the 750, I'm sure the 350 would also be a wonderful choice. We don't need an external antenna, as it works perfectly in our Class A motor home. Although the GPS is 3' away from the front windshield, we don't have a metal roof. Above the GPS is wood and fiberglass which isn't blocking the satellite signal. I also move the GPS to our Jeep whenever we stop. The suction cup mount makes it all so easy. This is the 5th GPS I've owned. It's also the best. And IT CAN also be used for hiking and geocaching!
