Or, is there a not-so-complicated equation??

We have only filled our propane tank on this coach twice after two years and 22,000 miles. We had our last coach give years and I'd top off the propane tank maybe once a year. I have no way of figuring the cost of the two since usually on have the fridge on propane when we are driving down the road or in the very few instances of when we have dry camped.

Can anyone say for reasonably sure whether is less expensive to run an RV refrigerator on propane or on electric -- I know, how much for each and how much do you use it and all that ... don't know, but as a general rule, what would anyone think is more bucks.

This is my own property -- not a CG ... I'm just wondering if it makes more dollar sense to go with propane or electric ... and I can't just test it because I have no way to seperate out the actual 'camper use' from the rest of the property use.

The only thing I can relate here is when my folks were living on the farm. The house was all electric, including the furnace. When he added onto the house he put in a gas (propane) stove for that room and put in a propane tank. It was much cheaper to heat with propane than with electric. Not sure how this relates to your RV fridge though.
