Thank you everyone for your input. I'm leaning towards the Vanguard which seems more trouble free. I am having difficulty finding the product on the web.
I went to their web site www.nbmc.com/vanguardbf/ and could not pull up anything that said 2 brick heaters. They also stated that all of their heaters need a 100 gallon tank. A little more help please.

Well, I learned something. Apparently, Vanguard calls their ceramic heaters "infrared heaters". Here's the link to the model we have.
www.vanguardheat.com/productsType.cgi?ty...0485.0&cat=10485
It says wall-mount only - we use ours on the floor. The dealer that sold it to us also sold us two legs to sit it in the middle of the floor. I don't know if other dealers will have that. Again, Grandma's Heaters in Quartzsite during the 'season'.
We did see one of these heaters wall-mounted in a 31' Seabreeze once. The owner mounted it in such a way that the heater could be latched flat against the wall, or unlatched and swiveled 90 deg. to point into the living room area.
The 100-gallon tank requirement I'm guessing is for another model. We've used ours tied into the motorhome propane system for years and I assure you, it is NOT 100 gallons!!!
My wife and the two cats love sitting in front of this thing. It puts out heat like a fireplace!

O.K. I'm starting to learn things. Now, is the Vanguard Blue Flame only a wall model? It looks like it has fireplace type characteristics and has a nice effect. The Infrared appears to be floor or mount style. What BTU rating do I need? Moma likes the warmth, but I don't want to overkill. I believe the ceramic 1500 watt electric heaters put out approximately 5000 BTU's. NOT ENOUGH.
Maybe 10000 BTU's might do it. I'm not looking to spend any time below freezing, (but the possibility is there-I am in Alaska) but some very cool day and nights.
I will be purchasing this unit over the Internet, sight unseen, but relying on the good input I'm getting from fellow Forum members. Please help me clear things up, so I can make an intelligent purchase. Thanks.

We've seen the blue-flame models both wall and floor mounted. No, those little 1500w electrics won't cut it.
We carry the ceramic brick ("Infrared") model for when we're boondocking, OR, when we're in a place with metered electricity. When the electricity is included in the rent, we have a larger electric heater that does OK at keeping the front end of the coach from getting too cold. Its a Kenwood TRN0812TK oil-filled and several brands carry the same model so who knows who actually makes the thing. I think we purchased it at either Home Depot or Wally World.

Thanks for all the input. Ordered a Vanguard VP16TB thermostatically controlled 16000 BTU heater for $245.00. Might be a bit more than I need, but more is always better than not having enough.

Sounds like a good section. I have two Confort Glows, both are bigger than what I need for where I use them. You can alway turn them down, but there is a limit on how much you can turn them up. Never had to run mine on max but it there if I need it.
