Almost power cord disaster! was created by Hawkeye 84
Just returned from a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and wanted to share an experience. For you more experienced campers, don't shake your head and laugh too hard.
While setting up, I got to pull out the power cord and it only comes so far before stopping to due to a kink in the cord. I pushed and pulled, etc, finally pushing enough back in, apply reverse twist and the kink came out and I'm able to pull out the entire 25' of cord. Once out, I un-twist the whole thing and let it sit on the ground for the whole weekend. The heat of the sun helped unkink the cable too. Upon breaking camp, putting the cord back into the storage bin, it sure went back in easier.
Lesson learned: every few trips or so, uncoil the whold cord and remove all the twists imparted by storing, especially in the winter time when the rubber is stiff.

Great idea - works with people too. Just unwound myself from the winter and let the sun work all those twists and kinks out -- didn't help the wrinkles though.

For my wrinkles, its a 10 minute motorcycle ride to work in 40 degree temps; sure takes them out right quick.:silly:
