Portable Tanks was created by MotorSarge
I just picked up a portable sanitation tank. The problem is the tank hose inlet sits higher than my travel trailer outlet and the waste water does not flow in very well. Any suggestions/remedies out there for a fix?

Bevel the ends of 2-2"X8"X24" stacked boards per wheel to stack and go under the tires of your trailer. This will raise the trailer about 3-3/4" (since 2X8's aren't really 2" thick). But by doing this, keep in mind that what ever stabilizing jacks you have are now that much too short unless they have the adjustment to compensate. Additional boards may be needed to raise those jacks.
For the quick math, each axle would require one 2"X8"X8' and a quick check of Home Depot shows a little over $10 per board (locally for SoCal...prices may vary).

I don't know if you considered this part, but the drain on the trailer tank is the lowest part. If the inlet of the accessory tank is higher than the trailer outlet, yet lower than the rest of the trailer tank above it, it'll still work once the trailer tank gets to the level of the accessory tank inlet.

Completely agree as water will seek its own level. Have to watch when disconnecting though. Be sure to raise and lower the hose after closing the valves to make sure the hose is drained.

I thought about both of your ideas already also. I guess those are the best that could be done. I really won't have to do the extra work unless I camp where I will need to use the tank.
Thanx all,
