DTV no work on exterior antenna

Just bought a new DTV -- works fine on Cable, but when I switch to 'built-in' factory antenna, it get snothing but fuzzy faces talking" and just a few stations.

What's up with that ?

I don't know that one. The cable company says if you get a digital box to convert your old analog tv you may have to replace the antenna with one that works with the digital signal if have those symptoms...but I don't know why a new tv would do that unless you were just barely out of range of a signal.

Is your booster turned on (there should be light showing when it is on)? Did you rescan for channels?

Yea, mine won't work without the booster being turned on. A lesson I keep relearning! :silly:

Found the 'on-switch' I didn't know it had ... scanned for channels and works fine. Thanks guys ... M44
