Not a fun thing to watch ... was created by monkey44
Was sitting at Wesbrook AFB campground in Chiccipi yesterday and watched my CPU screen get dark, get lines, get shadows, and sort of laugh at me as it faded into oblivion ... OUCH
Went to tech today - tech said most of these you can fix, unless the monitor fails ... your monitor failed ...
SO, the bright side of this story is I now own a newer, faster, larger, quieter, prettier, but more expensive laptop today than I did yesterday. And my wallet got a little thinner ... as usual !!!

There ae company's that will replace the LCD screen on your "OLD" PC. I have been planing on having one of mine replaced. It looks like about $250 (ballpark) for a replacement, (parts, labor and shipping). I am going to be in Vegas for the holidays and there is a very good laptop repair shop there that I have done business with in the past. I will probably wait till I get there and and have it done.

That is never a fun situation.
I sent the wife to buy a new laptop and she bought one of them big screen touch screen desk top computers. Well right off the bat she had red lines show up thru it. She sent it back for repair. After two more times of that happening they traded off that one for an even bigger screen desk top. So I ended up having to buy a desk, mount it to the wall of the rv, than mount the computer to the desk to keep it from getting damaged. We figured the other one might have gone down because of us having to pack it away every time we moved the rv.

Laptop pc's do generate heat and that could of been a factor.
I use a laptop cooler with my PC and it travels with me on the road.
You might want to consider one as a preventative safety measure.
