Has anyone out ther towed two trailers before? I am moving soon and would like to tow my 4x8 trailer attached to my TT.
Is it safe? What would I need to know and do?
Almost no state(s)that I know of allows TT doubles..If you have a 5th wheel several states allow you to double up..Note too that is No state on the eastern seaboard allows doubles of any kind. Although I have traveled extensively without getting pulled over.. Personally a rear to rear tow would be very goosey to say the least.

Asked my uncle - who's a cross-country trucker. He says he thinks Nevada and Arizone allow triples, might be other states but it requires a Class A license for anyone that does it anywhere.
But I still think, unless you're a pro driver, any triples set-up is asking for trouble ...
I'd take the time and make two trips, and stay safe and happy.
Not only are triples dangerous you also need to think about overall length. Most states have a maximum length. (Here in Oklahoma it is 65'.) My dad used to tow his Geo Tracker behind a 35 motorhome and then his base boat behind that. It all strung out to 72'. It was doubtful he would ever be pulled over to be measured but in the event of an accident, regardless who was at fault, he would have had a real problem on his hands for being over length.
I've seen 5th wheels with a large boat being towed behind them. A 5th wheel tows different than a travel trailer and possibly would work but is still not something I'd ever try. I drive a 36' MH with a Chevy HHR in tow and that is plenty to be herding down the road.
You'd probably be okay in the western states but you definitely don't want to go east of the Mississippi River with two trailers.
