US1 from Kittery to Calais Maine. Should take at least a month. Park and look at the ocean. Park and look at the state and national parks. Take a few boat rides. Busy road that takes a lot of patients to traverse. Lots of nice places to stay along the way. Eat on a boat in Portland Harbor. Visit Kennybunk Port and view the Bush family's summer place. Visit the small towns of Jacksonville or Whiting where traditions are still alive. It's a great place to spend a few months in the summer time.
