Blanchardville, WI McKellar Park (45 min. southwest of Madison on Hwy. 78). On the Pecatonica River, excellent availability unless there's a special event (I'm guessing at least a dozen sites). W/E. Dump site at entrance. Big 5'ers fit, but don't expect 50A. Three block walk to town. Register at town hall (co-located with fire station) adjacent to park. Web site says $10. per night.

Friendly Norwegian community where my wife grew up. Lots of nice Norwegian shops and atmosphere in Mount Horeb, WI, about 20 min. north. If you are (or were) a firefighter, a tour of the Mount Horeb Fire Station is a must; you'll be dazzled.
