Camp Host Needed at Tyndall AFB

Tyndall AFB FamCamp AKA Raptor Ranch is now looking for a host for our Recreation facility beginning 01 Oct 12 until 01 Apr 13. Responsibilities will be opening main center and preparing coffee each morning. Checking on cleanliness of facility and greeting patrons. Included will be hosting Pot Luck dinners, Bingo, and card games weekly along with main functions/parties monthly. The kitchen area and supply closet will also be included, which also includes keeping up with supplies needed for weekly functions and maintenances of kitchen & main hall. Host will assist manager with larger functions including cooking turkeys and hams for Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners with volunteer’s assistance.

The host position is contracted to include a full service site for the period of contract, without having to rotate every 2 months. The contract covers the full rental amount which does not include taxes. This will be the host’s responsibility; a 1099 will be issued each year of service.

Sounds like a busy position but wow what a great location if one
also has a fishing boat.

Is this still open? What are the particulars like how many hours a week and is it a full service site for the the host(s)? Is the Oct. 01 date hard? We have some VAMC issues needed to be taken care of in NH and couldn't get down until Nov. 01.

I would guess that Oct.01 date is set. For more info I would contact them through the e-mail or phone. It sounds to me to be very buisy day/week plus being a party planner in the evenings too. I still would contact them if I was interested...
