Fiddlers Cove, San Diego

I have recently purchased the software in order to check out military campsites without being online. I was interested in the Fiddlers Cove in San Diego. When I checked it online, found it is closed! This information was NOT on the software, which I was informed is updated regularly. Any advice?

Perhaps this is an issue of semantics. The software is updated monthly with additional campground reviews and campground information, including updates to the information on the campground. Temporary closures for repairs, renovations, emergencies, etc are not reflected in the campground information, as the campground is still in operation. Fiddle'rs Cove is not accepting campers for 3 - 6 months while they renovate. I hear what you're saying, but the software is a Directory of all known U.S. Military Campgrounds.

The latest military campground news, including temporary closures, improvements, etc, are mentioned in the monthly eNewsletter. This eNewsletter is emailed to all website members.

Recently found out Fiddler's Cove WILL NOT be closing this September as previously mentioned. Guess they didn't get the funding to renovate this year.

It?s a shame the Navy will not implement the proposed renovations to Fiddler?s Cove. It is/was my understanding is that they intended to not only increase the number of sites, but that the new additions were to have sewage-dump access at each new site. Again, too bad! Hopefully, they will implement the updates next year.
