How to contact???

Yes I would like to know how or whom to contact about Employment by a Military FamCamp? DH & I are frustrated by some of the bases we have seen and were wondering if they would hire prior Service to run one of these things.

I have been looking over the internet but I didn't know if there was one place to contact or how to do so.

If anyone has any ideas can you please let us know?

Unfortunately, there is no single location to learn about job openings (paid or volunteer) at military campgrounds. Many times, they will contact me and I'll post the job opening on this website. I've also seen some advertised in the Workamper News magazine (subscription - www.workampernews.com ). But most only advertise locally or by word of mouth.

I did hear (not confirmed) that Malstrom AFB FamCamp is looking for help.

Be prepared for very low or no pay and you may or may not get a free RV site as part of the compensation. Some military campgrounds are VERY good about hiring seasonal help (Nellis AFB comes to mind) and others don't know what help is.

We were also told you just contact the MWR people at the base directory to see if they need someone.

We figured it wouldn't be much pay if any but at least it is something to do.

We are a family DH is a Disabled Vet and we home school our kids or if it is long term then they can go to school with no problem.
We are tired of seeing crappy CG's due to stupidity. Money is another subject all together so I won't go into that. HA HA!!!!

I worked at a military CG when I was on active duty while I was on temporary duty awaiting retirement at NAS Jacksonville. There the campground was just part of my job, I also worked at the Auto Hobby Shop, Deployed Parking, and The Car wash. It was a really nice way to finish out my time in the service, and it gave me the RV bug.

I know that NSB Kings bay had an opening for a campground manager not long ago, not sure if they filled it or not.
