DD 2765 MWR campground usage? was created by captainjr70
Reading your enews and forums the requirements for campground usage is MWR on the back of the card, back of card indicates Direct:NO Civilian:NO.
Front of cards says authorized Patronage, MWR,and exchange commissary.
Are campground facilities avaiable to myself and spouse?

There is no mention of MWR on my retired military ID card. Being retired military I am eligible to use MWR facilities. On the back of the card where it says Direct: Yes Civilian: Yes, that is related to your eligibility for medical. On my wife's card under the Medical, both Direct and Civilian is marked "Yes". Also on the front of her card it says Exchange, MWR, and Commissary. I don't know why they put it there other than she is eligible to use these facilities without me being with her.

The DD 2765 is a DOD Identification Card issued to non-retired military.
I'm guessing you have a 100% service-connected disability. If your DD 2765 states "MWR" authorized, then YES - you can use military campgrounds.
However, if you're "not" 100% DAV, then you may not be authorized to use certain military campgrounds, even if your card states MWR. Certain categories are authorized or not-authorized based on the local installation rules. In addition, some military campgrounds are not operated by MWR and they set their own qualifications.

Again if you are 100% you have MWR access and also check with a ID card section and ask for additional access, and also do an inquiry with a VA Representative but your knowledgeable person to see is the ID card section.
