If you tell them you have a cat, some places won't allow you to stay if there is a 2 pet limit. Even if the cat stays in the RV the entire time. I've even heard of one place that will count a bird as a pet and count it against the 2 pet limit.

Most overflow areas are dry camping - no electric, water, or sewer. But some do include some hook-ups. This website has the hookups provided for "overflow" listed on the campground's information page.TriciaR1970 wrote: Do overflow area's have electricity? Our unit does not have a generator and my husband's illness is such that we have to use the AC.
Also forgot to mention we will be traveling with two large dogs (Labradors) and we are probably going to bring our cat too as we hate the idea of leaving her that long with only periodic visits for food & water and litter check-ups.
Some campgrounds say limit of 2 animals - Am wondering if a cat in the camper is going to mean we can't stay there?

So mum's the word on our spooky cat. Probably no one would ever see her, she tends to hide most of the time. If they did it would be a brief glimpse of her sunning herself before she noticed them and hid again.
I have a camping packet that has our memberships (Good Sam, Roadside Assistance, Insurance etc), the dogs licenses and rabies tag info and a list of all their latest vaccinations will have to remember to add the cat's stuff to the paperwork.
In the three years we've been camping no one has ever asked to see the animals paperwork but I always have it with me ready when checking in just in case.
Unless we invest in a small generator we don't do dry camping. Especially in hot areas as we will need the AC unit for the humans and the animals.
