Why is it that some famcamps honor this senior discount pass and some don't? We have stayed several times at Uchee Creek famcamp at Ft. Benning, GA and they honor it. We have camped a couple of times at Ft. Benning's famcamp in Destin, FL and they do not honor it.

We recently made reservations at Maxwell AFB campgrounds on Lake Martin, AL. When I asked if they honor the senior pass the woman taking the reservation said she didn't know what that was. So I am puzzled. :S Can anyone tell me what the deal is?

Each military campground establishes their own pricing and discount policy. You'll soon learn that the campgrounds are not run the same way, even among the same branch of the military. The local installation commander and MWR makes most of the decisions on how their facilities are to be ran.

Wonder too if it may have something to do with the "owner" of the property upon which the camp is located. Not all property is "owned" by the DOD.
