Alaska to/fro

Can anyone tell if you actually need a passport to cross over to and return thru canada? I dont have one or want one but if we decide to go up that way need to know if there is an alternative to getting one. We have been thru southern quebec and wife want nothing to do with that area again, so since I wont travel out of the US I dont need the PP. This would be a 1 time trip in out.

I asked this on another site and Yes you need either a PP or a passcard of some sort to make the passage.

If you never have any plans for other international travel apply for the pass card. it is cheaper it will get you into Mexico and Canada. here is the link

Keep in mind the passcard does not work for air travel!

My wife and I are currently planning another trip to Alaska in the summer of 2016. Will be leaving from Mo.
