Where is the best summer campground? was created by Ghostdoctor
We are full time now and are looking for recommendations for the best summer campgrounds. We would also like input for the best home state for 100% disabled veterans.

Florida hands down...BTW-I'm a 100%er too...
Go live at one of Florida military bases during season (winter) establish Floridian residency (no income taxes or property taxes) which I did easily at key west sigsbee by renting a sigsbee p.o. Box on base using the campground physical address as my address, get mail (bank statements, insurance etc) sent there then take mail to motor vehicles and transfer your car plates and acquire Floridian DL/ID & establish residency, register to vote etc.
Once you have that go to ft zack Taylor in key west & get your Floridian state park pass (bring your V.A. award letter preferably though I got mine with only DoD ID)
also get your free Floridian fishing/hunting license (get even if you don't do these activities, do it anyways they're free and help establish residency so as if or when former state comes after back taxes you have more proofs residency)
Best summer campground to me is camp Murray Washington, its attached to ft Lewis though it's changing sadly but weather in summer (July - late sept) is awesome!
Second best is ft Lenard wood as it's free boondocking if that's your style...no off base kooks, no limit of stay, no neighbors and free!!!
