PCS move

Hello. I'm AD Navy and my detailer has told me that there's nothing for me in my current area (Norfolk). My husband and I now must consider moving to San Diego. We don't want to rent or buy a house and are researching RV living. I've noticed you can't just "live" at an RV park. If we do this, will we have to move from park to park every few months? Has anyone done this? Is it sustainable?
Thanks.

Hi! Welcome to the site.
Here's a few things to consider:
To avoid the above issues, you might look into commercial RV parks not on the installation for a monthly rate. Some mobile home parks also allow RVs.
Here's a few things to consider:
- Military campgrounds and RV parks are for "recreation", not housing.
- They all have a "stay limit", which varies by location. Some will allow you to stay for 14-days, while others let you stay up to 6-months.
- You also need to look into the implications of your housing allowances. If you're staying on the installation in the campground, you may not be eligible to collect your housing allowances.
