RV sites vs Camp sites

RV sites vs Camp sites was created by Scrote
Looking at becoming a snowbird from Minnesota and have a few questions. In particular I'm looking at Southwinds Marina on Lake Amistad but this question applies to many Fam Camps. I've currently got a 13' Nomad. We kinda need electricity but don't have an issue driving over to the dump station every few days. Can we use our travel trailer in a "camp site" or are we required to use a designated RV site? Is there a fee for using the dump stations?
Can we drydock (with a generator if needed) on a camp site until we squeeze into an RV site?
And the BIG question ~ Is electric included in the monthly rates listed on this site?

Hi,
Each military campground is independently operated and establish their own "rules", So what applies at one location may not apply to another.
At Southwinds Marina, the "campsites" are "RV Campsites", so your trailer is allowed there (I've updated) the listing). The dump station is free for registered campers and the rates do include electricity. I've never seen any military campground charge extra for the dump (if staying there) or electricity.
I'm not sure if generators are allowed at Southwinds, but all sites include electricity except for the tent sites (no trailers allowed there).

Thanks for the reply Larry! I also checked out your casino website and intend on dropping by a few of those as we make our maiden voyage. We can hardly wait...
