Some of the Military Campgrounds are now open and we called Pelican Roost several times in May and called June 1st and was told it was totally booked and they did not put our name on the list in May; I guess it is for RV'rs who stay for a long time.
We had a reservation at Eagle Hammock and it had to be cancelled and we called again and it is open now in July 1st and we have a two month stay.
Hope to go to Apache Flats and no reservations now and hope they open up in the fall and plan on staying there a few months. Have not been there yet and it is a wonderland of cowboys and cowgirls and western themes and many places to go.
