Frank, My Husband is in Savannah right now, and the best place we have found is Skidaway State Park, All utilities, very nice people, accomodates all RV's, Senior rates. $25 night. They always have spaces, you pick your own spot. Very clean.

I concur that Skid-A-Away St Park is nice. Not FHUs tho. Sites 1-10. Crooked Creek St Park near St Mary's is also very nice. But it's a bit of a drive to Savannah.

FYI.....Holbrook Pond Campground, Ft. Stewart has W/E hook-ups at $12/day-$6 if you have Golden Access/America the Beautiful Card and is about 30-40 minutes from downtown Savannah.

The Richmond KOA was the highest price ($44) and the lowest quality of the 3 KOA's I stayed at on my recent trip. It was as close as I could get to my family in Hinesville. It does suck when it rains and you are on dirt. I learned to carry shop towels or rags so I can wipe off the hoses and cable line before stowing them away. I have reservations at Ft Stew this time due to everyone's feedback
