We joined SMART 10 years ago. Getting involved is up to each who join. Several years passed before a chapter was formed--IA,MN,NE,SD & ND make a pretty large area for an 8 member chapter. Have attended 2 Regionals and will attend first National Muster at Hutchinson, KS in May. Looking forward to it.
We also belong to 4 other camping organizations, but only one (Family Campers & RVers) that we spend a lot of time with. We attend the others when we are in the area (wintering in the south) or when Rallies are close. Have met a lot of couples & broused a lot of commercial vendors wares. Seen some fantastic shows.
Belonging to a camping organization is what you make of it. If you don't put anything in, you get nothing out.
