Gotta get up on my soapbox!!

Well, I'll put in my 2 cents.. $20.00 for full hock ups in that area is a steal. was up there last year and even with discounts paid almost twice the price. We use the military campgrounds when availible, but if they are not we make the most of it. Even if they do not take reservaqtions we always call ahead and talk with the folks. They give us a good idea if space will be availible. Don't know where he stays most of the time but in our travels we have found some military parks to be more expensive then civilian parks. We make the most of it and enjoy our lifestyle. Maybe he was just having a bad day.

Was leaving this alone, but need to say one more thing -- I'd prefer to see something less insulting right in the middle of the home page each time I log on here, and would respectfully request Larry move it somewhere else so I (we?) don't have to see it every time.

Concur. Larry - this guy and his article are not up to the normal standards of this web site.

Was in Ellsworth in Sept 2001.. just after 9-11 (was onboard F.E.Warren morning of (9-11)

Ellsworth was very clean & well kept. Bathhouses (two) and laundry where squeaky clean. And you can walk to the Mini-mart for a 6 pack.

$$$ is higher than some MCGs, but cheaper than others but fair.

When we were there, we were allowed to eat in the USAF chow hall great food, great prices AND they had tablecloths.
