Always appreciate comments about MCGs when you guys talk about them -- but often one of you will mention the name of a MCG or even a base, and I haven't a clue where it is ... or what state it is so I can find it and look at the info.

For example: Redstone Arsonal -- someone just mentioned a new MCG just opened (or rebuilt MCG) and I have not a single clue what state that's in. And, (my tech-challenged self) am not even sure we can search on this site by name ...

So, please help this old retired fart out, and name the state at least when talking about a campground unless it's obvious ... thanks M44

Search engines like GOOGLE make it easy :woohoo: to find and identify places.

Have to agree with Monkey44. Yea I know Google is fine, but that means leaving this site to Google and then return. How hard is it to add a two letter (CA or TX) to a post. Just the thoughts of an old retired sky cop.

While I'm not disagreeing with also including the state, but I find it very easy to find any listed military campground using the SEARCH feature on this website. The SEARCH option is in the top right corner and will search this entire site. I also find it faster than going through all of the menu choices.

For example, on the Redstone topic mentioned, I used the SEARCH to see what we had listed. I simply searched for REDSTONE and was given a list of both campgrounds and could click on the one I wanted to see.

The only confusing part of using the SEARCH feature is determining what is what. For example, searching for AGAVE will result in many articles on Agave Gulch FamCamp in Arizona, including the actual campground information listing. The search feature searches EVERYTHING, except these discussions. The Discussion Forums have their own search option.

Just a tip to make using the site easier.

I agree with Google and Larry, but adding two state letters to the post would make very simple, and we could just know it right then - and could look at the state and find it instead of 'sorting' all Redstone tags. And, if the poster is chattering about it, then he wants us to know it -- just a thought anyway ... particularly for us techni-capped old vets ... M44
