Lotts Island AAF RV Park - is it open?

Anyone know the status of Lotts Island Army Airfield RV Park outside Savanah ... was under construction last year, wonder if it's finished and open this winter?

We were over there around the first part of Oct....things are being worked on, but believe they are now shooting for sometime in 2010.....We're going that way in a few days again, if we get a chance, we'll run by again.......but in the mean time, if you'd like to visit Savannah, stop by Holbrook Pond Campground, Ft. Stewart,GA....it's about 25 miles from Savannah...and contrary to a recent post...the camp hosts and staff here are welcoming and helpful in giving you directions and points on interest to visit....and work very hard to make your stay enjoyable and pleasant...

Was just by there yesterday. They still have a few more months. They are not breaking any land speed records.

Just finished talking with the Director of MWR/Outdoor Rec. for both Hunter AAF (aka. Lotts Island) and Ft. Stewart...she states that the new CG at Hunter/Lotts Island is not open yet...waiting on city water to give the okay.....folks can still park in the old area (has water only there).....advise to call them for more info...but will also keep ya' posted here....

Humm..............I was at the RV park and talked with two folks camping there over last weekend.
Maybe they were squatters.
