Lotts Island AAF RV Park - is it open?

Stopped by Hunter today and saw two campers at the campground. Didn't stop and see if they were just "squatters" or legal campers. All the sites looked like they were ready for occupancy. Haven't tried calling the MWR so don't know for sure if they are officially open or not. All the sites had picnic tables, water/electric/sewer hookups and nice brick firepit. Looks like it would be a nice place to stop if you were just going to tour Savannah. Again, we followed our GPS (not coordinates on this site) and it took us to a dirt road. Whether this is where an older campground was or not, I don't know. But if you enter the base from the Rio Gate the campground is visible just to your left.

Whenever someone is in the area, perhaps we can get updsated information. Coordinates, directions, prices, # of sites, new photos, etc???

Thanks! Do they have water, sewer and electric at the sites? What electric power is available?

Full-hookups (W/E/S)....don't know for sure on the 30/50amps...but since it's all new probably....all sites are pull-thrus......Haven't been over there,yet, so would suggest folks call for more details....When I hear more, I'll post here for ya'
